PRE-MADE COVERS

Pre-made sales are final. No refunds or exchanges will be granted after the invoice is paid. Once the invoice is sent, you have 48 hours to pay, failure to do so will put it back on the market. 

 

Once purchased, Studio 5 Twenty-Five will send a form so appropriate changes can be made. Once the form is complete, it takes 1 - 2 weeks to get all final files completed.

 

CUSTOM DESIGNS 

 

Initial: A non-refundable 50% retainer is due at the time of booking. The remaining balance is not due until final approval of the cover is accepted. Final files (PDFs or platform versions) will be sent after final payment is complete.

 

Final Payment: Final payments are due within 72 hours of the final cover file approval. There will be an additional $20 fee for a missed payment deadline.

 

Cover Inspiration: Studio 5 Twenty-Five will send a form after booking your cover. This gives Studio 5 Twenty-Five optimal cover inspiration by providing valuable information to fulfill your vision.

DESIGN SERVICES:

Prices are subject to change at any time, and without warning. Price is only guaranteed upon receipt of deposit.

 

IMAGE EXPENSES:

 

Stock Images​: If the Client chooses to provide the cover image: They maintain the rights to said image. Details, such as flourishes, small extra images, and certain back images, are included in the cover design package and will not be the Client’s responsibility. The Client must obtain the correct rights and permissions for use of the photo they are providing. Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Studio 5 Twenty-Five from any and all copyright and permission infringement action resulting from materials client provides.

 

Studio 5 Twenty-Five’s Photo: The image chosen will only be exclusively for this project. Studio 5 Twenty-Five maintains full rights to this photo, Client maintains limited rights to use this photo for anything involving the Client’s book promotion, alone. Other authors/designers may have the same or similar images and/or models and Studio 5 Twenty-Five can not be held liable for other covers or designs that contain the same imagery currently or in the future.

Photo may NOT be sold, reused, or used out of context aside from the specified book-related printing, reproductions, and otherwise. It may be used for any print promotion and online promotional use. It may not be used for sale items other than the eBook, and print book. If other sale items will be created from this photo, the Client will need to purchase the full rights to the image.

Photo may not be used on any other printed work by alternate designers unless otherwise discussed. Studio 5 Twenty-Five and the Client maintain rights to the specified photo.

​

Each image shall not, under any circumstances, be altered without prior permission by Studio 5 Twenty-Five.

CANCELLATION: Once work is booked, no refund will be given. In the event of a cancellation before work has started, no further expenses will be owed. If the work has begun on the project, the remaining balance will be owed. 

​

 

OWNERSHIP: Studio 5 Twenty-Five maintains the full rights of all original designs. Designs and their concept, including layout, image style, coloring, placement, and fonts are not permitted to be recreated or altered by another person.

​

The Client maintains the rights to the stock photo that they have downloaded. Those images may be used for promotion of the book only. The cover itself can be used for merchandising.

​

The Client understands that any image alteration by anyone other than Studio 5 Twenty-Five is prohibited. The client also understands that additional charges may apply for any alterations after approval and/or after final files are sent.

Studio 5 Twenty-Five controls the limited rights to the cover to use as any sort of self-promotion, portfolio, client viewing, etc.

ATTRIBUTION: Studio 5 Twenty-Five requires cover design and/or formatting credit to appear in Client’s book, whether on the cover or inside on the copyright page.

LIABILITY: Studio 5 Twenty-Five is not liable for damages of any kind, including loss of revenues, profits, business, reputation, or data, in any way related to our services. Studio 5 Twenty-Five is not responsible for any claim, loss, or injury based on errors or inaccuracies appearing on our site or in our clients’ written documents once the cover has been approved.

Should Studio 5 Twenty-Five take longer to complete the project than originally indicated (i.e. family emergency, act of nature, etc.) the Client will be contacted via social media message or email in order to agree upon a new project completion date.

​

 

CODE OF FAIR PRACTICE: Studio 5 Twenty-Five acknowledges that to the best of their knowledge, the work prepared is an original creation and has not been previously published and/or consent to use has been obtained on an unlimited basis. The work prepared does not contain any scandalous, libelous, or unlawful matter. The Client and/or others may not use a Studio 5 Twenty-Five product in any way that may infringe upon the rights of others.

ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS: Both Studio 5 Twenty-Five and the Client will acknowledge acceptance of these terms. By acknowledging this contract, the Client agrees to hold Studio 5 Twenty-Five entirely free from any and all liability.
