Thankful for GREAT Reads! (& Fierce Women)

For me, reading has always been the perfect blend of escape and entertainment. I tend to change read genres based on my mood and the phases of my life.


Stressed? Rom Com and Contemporary Romance.


Antsy? Fantasy and Paranormal.


Curious? Biographies.


Confident? Erotica.


Slightly masochistic? Angsty reads (Kidding... kinda lol)


The past few years have been a chaotic mess of emotions and more than ever, I turned to books to help me cope. The joy, laughter, love, and endless entertainment truly helped me get through the past few years. And there were certain authors who were a BIG part of that.


In celebration of this time of thanks, I’d like to brag a bit about my favorite authors. May their talent bring you just a bit of joy that they’ve given me.


K.A. Linde -- sexy, angsty reads and one of my favorite fantasy series EVER. Plus, she’s a total badass and a great boss and friend. I wouldn’t be here doing what I love if it wasn’t for her. A prime example of a strong woman who supports other women. Where to Start: The Wright Brother or The Affiliate!


Staci Hart -- fun, sexy, and sweet romance reads. Who else is crazy enough to retell Jane Austen stories?? Plus, she’s a total sweetheart and does AMAZING book cover designs! Where to Start: Red Lipstick Coalition or The Austens series!


Kandi Steiner -- her reads hurt SO good. Plus, she’s fierce, beautiful, and so kind. Where to Start: Say Yes or A Love Letter to Whiskey!


Corinne Michaels -- ANGST and rips your heart out. But in THE BEST WAY. Plus, she’s so sweet and fun and a total fan favorite. Where to Start: Beloved!


Kennedy Ryan -- the perfect blend of sexy and informative. You can tell a TON of research goes into her writing. First heard of her at Book Bonanza 2019 and am working my way through her backlist! Where to Start: The Kingmaker!


Penny Reid -- Smart, sexy romance with just the perfect blend of quirky, intelligent characters. I discovered her at Book Bonanza in 2019 and quickly devoured all of her books! They make me smile every single time. Where to Start: Neanderthal Seeks Human


Kristen Proby -- swoony, sexy romance. I can (and do) reread her over and over again. Plus, she’s always the sweetest when I meet her and fangirl all over her with my giant stack of books that I need signed. Where to Start: Come Away With Me!


Sierra Simone -- hella sexy, filthy, and always just a bit twisted. Where to Start: A Lesson in Thorns!


Nana Malone -- Sexy, feel good romance. I first learned of her and the #BrownNippleChallenge and I’m HERE FOR IT. I’m always down to support people who are fighting for inclusion. Where to Start: Big Ben!


Jennifer L. Armentrout -- I don’t know how I didn’t read her until this year but HOLY SMOKES. I’ll be working my way through her backlist ASAP. Where to Start: From Blood and Ash!
